Travelling with
pets

We take the best possible care of your pet.

Your pets are welcome on board at any time, so feel free to take them with you on your holiday to Sweden. Please make sure that the pets are pre-booked.

Here is some important information to help make traveling with pets a smooth experience:

• There is a limited number of special cabins available for passengers travelling with pets. On all night departures where a cabin reservation is required pets may only stay in our special pets cabins (max. 2 pets per cabin). If the pet cabins are fully booked, regular cabins can be allocated for occupancy with pets on board Nils Holgersson, Peter Pan, Akka and Nils Dacke. In this case, an extra cleaning fee of EUR 15/SEK 150 will be charged. 
  
• During the crossing, access to the car decks is not permitted. Furthermore it is not allowed for pets to stay in the vehicle during the crossing. Please take them with you.
• Dogs are allowed on the passenger decks inside and outside, and there are special dog areas on board every Swedish ferry, for example in the restaurant.
• A dog toilet is located on one of the rear outer decks.
• Please keep your dog on a short leash at all times.
• On board muzzles are compulsory for listed dogs.

Bringing pets to and from Sweden
Certain legal regulations apply when bringing pets to and from Sweden.
Please plan your journey several weeks in advance accordingly and ask your veterinarian about the applicable regulations.
