Getting to the port

In this section you will find all the important information on how to get to and access our terminal building - including parking options.

Connection by local public transport

  • Travemünde

You can take the train to Lübeck main station. From there, take bus 50 to the “Roter Hahn” stop. Change there to bus 36 - this goes directly to the Skandinavienkai terminal. Alternatively, you can get off at the “Lübeck-Travemünde Hafen” stop, walk to the Priwall ferry and then take bus 36 to the terminal.

  • Rostock

From the main train station, take streetcar line 2 or 3 to the “Dierkower Kreuz” stop. From there, get on bus 19 or 49, which will take you to the “Seehafen Fähre” stop.

  • Trelleborg

The Pågatåget runs directly from Malmö to Trelleborg Central Station. Our check-in for pedestrians is also located there. Many buses from the region also stop at the station.

  • Świnoujście

The ferry port in Świnoujście is around 500 m from the train and bus station.

  • Klaipėda

Take the bus No.1 from the Main Train or Main Bus stations, whitch runs through whole Klaipėda city with its final stop “Vakarų” located right next to the TT-Line terminal.

  • Karlshamn

During the summer season, from June 16 to August 31, local bus No. 5 operates to the Karlshamn port terminal. For more information, please refer to local schedules.Outside of this period, there is no public transportation available to reach the TT-Line passenger terminal.

We recommend using taxi services (Tel. +46 454 12267).

Parking spaces in the port area

  • Travemünde & Rostock

There are numerous barrier-free and chargeable parking spaces at the port, which allow you to park your vehicle safely.

  • Trelleborg

There is no parking lot directly at the terminal. But right next to it you will find a small public parking lot where you can park your car.

  • Karlshamn

In Karlshamn you can park free of charge for up to 7 days - right next to our TT-Line office. This is also the check-in. You will need a permit for this, which you can obtain from our office. Please place this clearly visible in your car. If you arrive one day before your departure, you can also park for free. Camping over several days is not permitted.

  • Świnoujście

There are short-term parking spaces in front of the terminal (for one hour). There are larger parking lots nearby where you can leave your car for longer.

  • Klaipėda

There are plenty of parking spaces directly in front of the check-in office where you can park your car.

Boarding and access to the ferry

Find out everything you need to know about boarding here.

Arrival without vehicle

Please first report to the check-in desk in the terminal building to check in for your crossing. Inform our staff there about your restriction - they or the bus driver will be happy to help you if necessary.

After check-in, please go to the signposted meeting point, also in the terminal building. You will be met there personally by a bus driver and taken on board in a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus.

Our on-board staff will also be on hand to assist you at all times.

Arrival by vehicle

Please inform our team about your disability before your trip so that we can prepare your crossing in the best possible way.

If you use a wheelchair, your vehicle will be given a special label, which you should print out in advance and bring with you so that it is clearly visible.

This will enable our crew to ensure that your vehicle is placed in a special area on board.

Access to the vehicle deck

Access to the vehicle deck is only possible to a limited extent or with assistance on all ships due to the different ramps. Our crew will be happy to help you if required.

You will arrive with your vehicle or the shuttle bus on a selected vehicle deck, which provides access to the elevator.

Time on board

Once you have arrived safely on board, this information will help you to find your way around and make your stay a pleasant one.

From the vehicle deck to the cabin deck

On all our ferries - with the exception of the Marco Polo - you can easily reach the cabin decks by elevator.

Public areas on deck

On all our ferries - with the exception of the Marco Polo - the public areas are barrier-free and accessible without assistance. There are also disabled-friendly toilets available. Depending on the ship, the public areas include:

  • Restaurant
  • Bar and lounge areas
  • Children's play areas
  • Board shop
  • Outdoor areas (except Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer)

Our cabin facilities

In our wheelchair-accessible cabins, the beds are next to each other to ensure sufficient freedom of movement. In the other cabins, the beds can also be arranged one above the other. The Marco Polo does not have barrier-free cabins.

Power connections

All our ferries have a 220-230 volt, 50-60 hertz power connection.

Safety in an emergency

In the event of an emergency, special safety measures are in place to provide targeted support for people with disabilities:

  • The cabins are equipped with an emergency call button
  • In the event of an evacuation, you will be informed via an acoustic alarm
  • The crew will also check all cabins and offer you active support
  • All guests go to one of the assembly points and wait there for further instructions from the crew

Our crew members are regularly trained in emergency procedures.

Declaration on accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to the website of TT-Line GmbH & Co. KG website at www.ttline.com and our booking dialog at booking.ttline.com.

We at TT-Line GmbH & Co. KG are working to design our website in such a way that it is easily accessible for all people. In doing so, we are guided by the requirements of the State Disability Equality Act (LBGG), EU Directive 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services and the Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG).

You can view a “Summary of the provisions on passenger rights in maritime and inland waterway transport” here or in the terminals and on board our ships.

1. Status of compatibility with the requirements

Our website is partially accessible. This means that not all parts of the website are optimally accessible, but we are working on making the website more and more accessible.

2. Areas that are not accessible

Not all functions and content on this website and in our booking dialog are currently optimally accessible. However, we are continuously working to improve accessibility. There are currently the following points that still need to be improved:

  • Some color contrasts do not yet meet the minimum requirements for legibility
  • Some text content is too small or not responsive for all end devices
  • Not all functions can be fully operated using the keyboard
  • The keyboard focus is not always clearly visible
  • Links are sometimes not correctly marked
  • Heading hierarchies are not always consistently adhered to
  • Our chatbot is not fully accessible
  • Videos do not always offer a complete text alternative or audio description
  • Alternative texts are sometimes missing or inadequate
  • Not all ID attributes are clearly assigned
  • JavaScript is required in some areas, “noscript” elements appear when JavaScript is deactivated
  • ARIA attributes or roles are not always set correctly and sensibly
  • Landmarks and semantic HTML tags still need to be improved
  • Not all payment methods and digital identification processes can be used without barriers
  • Not all PDF documents made available for download or via email meet the requirements for accessible formats

We are actively working to rectify these shortcomings and strive to continuously improve accessibility. The identified barriers are currently being revised. Planned measures and progress will be published here.

3. Creation of this declaration on accessibility

This declaration was prepared on April 29, 2025. The information in this declaration is based on a self-assessment that we have carried out to the best of our knowledge and belief. We last reviewed this declaration on June 18, 2025.

4. Feedback and contact details
