TT-Line is one of the leading ferry companies in the Baltic Sea, using modern ferries between Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. To strengthen our team we are looking in Szczecin (Poland) or Travemünde (Germany) as soon as possible for a
Head of Technical Procurement (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring efficient procurement processes
- Implementation of the procurement processes in coordination with the parties involved in the process and in compliance with the relevant specifications of the company management
- Running commercial tenders - obtaining, analyzing and negotiating offers as well as commercial review and awarding of contracts
- Technical examination of offers for implementation possibilities in coordination with the specialist department
- Independent contract negotiation, management and conclusion
- Complaint handling (claim management)
- Supplier selection and development of effective supplier relationships as well as monitoring of supplier audits
- Identification and implementation of measures to reduce the so-called Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Realization of cost savings
Qualifications:
- Degree in Economics or Engineering
- Technical understanding and interest in a maritime working environment
- Structured, independent working style and organizational skills
- Reliability and assertiveness
- Thinking in economic and overall business contexts/conceptual skills
- Very good written and spoken English language skills (business fluent)
- German, Swedish or Polish is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Ability to grasp things quickly, enjoys communication, team player
- Willingness to travel and longer business trips to Travemünde (Germany)
