Group bookings
Would you like to book a group with TT-Line, but don't know how? We have compiled the most frequently asked questions and answers about group bookings here.
-
How can I book my group?
Group enquiries must always be made in writing. For the sake of the environment, we naturally prefer emails.
-
What information should my group enquiry contain?
- Name of the travel package, fare or link to the offer
- Preferred date plus alternative date or all dates in the series
- Agency number, if available
- Additional services such as guides, bridge tolls, extra nights
-
What is the difference between a group booking and an individual passage?
Group fares for ferry crossings generally apply to bookings of 10 or more full-fare passengers. For smaller numbers of passengers per booking, individual passenger fares apply. Group package tours can be booked for 20 or more full-fare passengers.
-
Is group booking only possible by coach?
No, prices for groups without vehicles or bicycle groups are available on request.
-
Is there a specific quota for groups?
When you make your enquiry, you can send us your desired allocation straight away. If you are unsure, we will simply book you a mixed allocation of inside and outside cabins. The number of cabins is the decisive factor here. You are free to decide whether you then sell these as double or single occupancy. However, a mixed allocation is required in all cases.
-
Can I adjust my quota?
Of course you can!
We will first confirm a basic allocation for you. If you do need more cabins, simply send us a request. We will then check the possibilities and get back to you.
-
How long will my quota be available?
The allocation is generally available to you until 4 weeks before departure. Further information on the option period can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
In cases of very high occupancy, it may be possible in rare exceptional cases that you may be asked to return part of the allocation in advance.

What information must be included on a list of names and when must it be available?
You can send us a list of names as soon as you know that the trip will definitely take place. Otherwise, initial coordination will begin 8 weeks before departure. The list of names should then be available at least 4 weeks before departure. The list of names must contain the following information:
- TT-Line booking number
- First and last names of all travellers and the bus driver
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Information on limited mobility
Passport numbers are also required for the Klaipėda and Świnoujście routes.
We also need the vehicle registration number before departure.
-
How far in advance do I need to cancel my appointment?
Group bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 4 weeks before departure. For return journeys, the date of the first departure applies.
We kindly ask you to let us know as soon as possible if you realise that you will not be able to make the appointment.
You can find the exact cancellation conditions in our terms and conditions.

How can groups check in with TT-Line?
Contactless check-in for groups
Groups can also check in contactlessly at TT-Line. The self-check-in counter is located in the respective TT-Line check-in offices. Your groups can check in contactlessly at these ports:
- Travemünde
- Rostock
- Trelleborg
For departures from Świnoujście and Klaipėda, the bus driver will receive the boarding cards for the entire group from our check-in staff.
-
What documents does the group need to check in?
To check in, your groups will primarily need the booking number. This applies regardless of whether the bus driver or tour guide checks in via self check-in or with our staff.
In addition, each passenger must carry a valid ID document. ID checks will be carried out at the ports.
-
When should groups arrive for check-in?
Groups must be ready for boarding at the pier at least 1 hour before departure. Allow sufficient time for check-in, as there may be waiting times even at the self-check-in.
-
What documents are issued at check-in?
The bus crew receives one boarding card per passenger at check-in. All booked meals are registered on this card. The boarding card also serves as the cabin key.
-
When does boarding commence for groups?
Boarding begins approximately 30-45 minutes after the ship arrives. We ask for your understanding that the process may take longer depending on the loading volume of the previous departure.
