Shipment of hazardous cargo

The following conditions apply for the shipment of hazardous cargo on TT-Line vessels:

  1. TT-Line operates in accordance with the IMDG Code in conjunction with the "Baltic Sea Memorandum" on "Passenger Vessels". Most types of hazardous cargo may be transported on these departures. Our Cargo Office can provide you with detailed information.
     
  2. TT-Line will not accept hazardous goods of
    * Class 7 "Radioactive"
    * Class 1 "Explosive substances and objects“ (with the exception of Class 1.4S, only on request)

     
  3. Certain departures feature “cargo vessels” with a limited number of passengers in order to be able to transport the following types of hazardous cargo:
    * Class 2 "Flammable gases" (=ADR Class 2F / IMDG Class 2.1)
    "Toxic gases" (=ADR Class 2T / IMDG Class 2.3)
    "Chilled gases"
    * Class 5.2 All types of cargo
    * Class 6.2 All types of cargo
    * Class 8 All cargo in packaging groups I und II

     
  4. TT-Line reserves the right to convert the "Cargo Departures“ mentioned under 3 into "Passenger Departures“ at short notice. (Restrictions to the transportation of hazardous cargo)
     
  5. Hazardous cargo (even in limited quantities) must always be booked in writing 24 hours prior to departure.
     
  6. Bookings for hazardous cargo are only considered final once all hazardous cargo data has been checked by TT-Line and the booking has been confirmed as a "Hazardous Cargo Booking“.
